Dr. Heather Bobb
Dr. Heather Hodson Bobb graduated Valedictorian from Tahlequah High School in Tahlequah, OK, in 1993. She earned her BS in Biology from Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, graduating Magna cum laude in 1997. She earned her DDS from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School in 2002 where she graduated cum laude with honors in clinical dentistry. Following graduation, she associated for two years in SE Ohio, near Washington, PA, where her husband was completing his residency in Family Medicine. Dr. Bobb was then offered a partnership in a practice in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she gained popularity serving as the community’s first female dentist. She was also able to serve the Cherokee Indian Nation during her time in Oklahoma. In August of 2008, she opened her practice in Dripping Springs, Texas, where she has been serving since.
Dr. Bobb married her college sweetheart, Brian Bobb, MD, who is the Regional Medical Director for Med Spring. The Bobbs have two daughters, Kiara and Karsten, who keep them very busy with their sports (swimming at Nitro in Bee Cave, running with South Austin Steel, and playing soccer with Dynamo), Girl Scouts, and piano (at Wildflower School of Music). They are very active in their community and their church, Dripping Springs Presbyterian Church, where Dr. Heather Bobb serves as an elder.
Dr. Bobb enjoys spending time with her family. She has her private pilot’s license and enjoys flying, golfing, running, reading, and playing and watching various sports. She is a college sports fan, particularly of UT Longhorns and OSU Cowboys.
The Bobbs have a heart for missionary work and have served locally and internationally in Africa and Mexico.
Dr. Bobb is a published researcher and has earned numerous awards including the Lyon College Patterson Decade Award (outstanding female alumnus), the Robert Clayton Memorial Award, The Williams Fellowship Award, the Colgate Palmolive Scholarship, and the Girl Scout Gold Award (equivalent to Eagle Scout).
She is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the American Association of Women Dentists the Texas Association of Women Dentists, the Dawson Academy Alumni Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry (in which she is currently working on obtaining her fellowship). Dedicated to continuing her education, Dr. Bobb spends time learning. In 2012, she earned her Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and her Associate Fellowship from the World Clinical Laser Institute.
